Step 1 - Marination πŸ—

Ingredients:


πŸ“Œ 500g Chicken


πŸ“Œ 1/2 Cup Curd πŸ₯›


πŸ“Œ 1 tsp Salt πŸ§‚


πŸ“Œ 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste πŸ§„


πŸ“Œ 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder ✨


πŸ“Œ 1/2 tbsp Red Chilli Powder 🌢️


πŸ“Œ 1 tsp Cumin Powder


πŸ“Œ 1/2 tbsp Coriander Powder


πŸ“Œ 1/8 Cup Homemade Biryani Masala


πŸ‘‰ Mix chicken with above ingredients and marinate.


Step 2 - Gravy Preparation πŸ›


Ingredients:


πŸ”₯ 1 Cup Oil


πŸ₯” 3 Medium Sized Potatoes


🌿 Whole Spices (1 Bay Leaf, 1 Cinnamon, 1 Black Cardamom, 2 Green Cardamom, 2 Cloves)


πŸ§… 6 - 7 Big Onions (sliced)


πŸ§„ 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste


πŸ… 3 Medium Tomatoes (chopped)


πŸ‹ Juice of Half Lemon


🌱 3 Sprigs of Mint Leaves


🌢️ 4 - 5 Spicy Green Chillies (slitted)


πŸ’¦ Little Water


🎨 Color (optional)


🌿 Coriander Leaves


🧈 2 - 3 tbsp Ghee

Method:


1️⃣ Heat oil in a pan. πŸ”₯


2️⃣ Apply salt & turmeric to potatoes πŸ₯” and fry till well cooked.


3️⃣ Add whole spices & onions πŸ§…. Cook till brown.


4️⃣ Add ginger garlic paste πŸ§„ and sautΓ© for 1 - 2 mins.


5️⃣ Add tomatoes πŸ… and cook till soft.


6️⃣ Add marinated chicken πŸ— and lemon juice πŸ‹. Mix well, cover & cook on low flame for 8 mins, stirring occasionally.


7️⃣ Add mint leaves 🌱 & green chillies 🌢️. Mix well.


8️⃣ Add little water πŸ’¦. Cover & cook till chicken is completely done.


Step 3 - Rice Preparation 🍚


Ingredients:


🍚 2 Cups Basmati Rice


🌿 Whole Spices & 1 tsp Shah Jeera


πŸ›’️ 1 tbsp Oil


πŸ§‚ 1 tbsp Salt


Method:


1️⃣ Wash rice 3 - 4 times & soak for 30 mins.


2️⃣ In boiling water, add whole spices, shah jeera, salt & oil.


3️⃣ Add basmati rice 🍚 & cook till 70% done.


Step 4 - Assembling & Dum Cooking 🍲


1️⃣ Add fried potatoes πŸ₯” to the cooked chicken.


2️⃣ Spread 70% cooked rice 🍚 evenly over it.


3️⃣ Drizzle color 🎨 (if using), sprinkle chopped coriander 🌿 & ghee 🧈.


4️⃣ Cover & place on tawa – cook on high flame for 5 mins, then low flame for 7 mins.


5️⃣ Turn off the flame & let it rest for 15 mins. Do not open the lid!


6️⃣ After 15 mins, open & serve hot! 😍🍽️
