📝 Ingredients


For the Dough:


2 cups all-purpose flour (maida)


½ tsp salt


Water (as needed)


1 tsp oil (optional)


For the Filling:


250 g minced chicken (preferably boneless thigh)


1 medium onion (finely chopped)


2-3 garlic cloves (minced)


1-inch ginger (grated)


2 green chillies (finely chopped, optional)


2 tbsp spring onion greens (chopped)


1 tbsp soy sauce


Salt and pepper to taste


½ tsp sesame oil (optional for aroma)


👩‍🍳 Method


1. Prepare the Dough:


Mix flour and salt in a bowl.


Add water gradually and knead into a smooth dough.


Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.


2. Make the Filling:


In a bowl, combine all filling ingredients.


Mix well and keep it chilled until use.


3. Shape the Momos:


Divide dough into small balls.


Roll each into a thin circle (about 3–4 inches).


Place 1 tsp filling in the center.


Pleat and seal the edges into a dumpling shape (round or half-moon).


4. Steam the Momos:


Line a steamer with parchment or cabbage leaves.


Steam the momos for 12–15 minutes over medium heat until dough is translucent and filling is cooked.

Serve hot with spicy red chilli chutney and soy sauce or mayo garlic dip.
