🍗 Spicy Chicken Curry Homestyle and full of flavor
🛒 Ingredients:
Chicken – 1 kg (bone-in, cut into medium pieces)
Onions – 3 large (finely sliced)
Tomatoes – 2 large (chopped)
Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tbsp
Yogurt – ½ cup (well whisked)
Red chili powder – 1½ tbsp (adjust to taste)
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Green cardamoms – 3
Cloves – 4
Cinnamon stick – 1 inch
Salt – to taste
Fresh coriander leaves – for garnish
Oil – ½ cup
🔪 Method:
1. Heat oil in a heavy pan. Add bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves. Sauté for 30 seconds.
2. Add sliced onions and cook till golden brown.
3. Add ginger-garlic paste and fry until raw smell disappears.
4. Add chopped tomatoes, salt, turmeric, chili powder, and coriander powder. Cook until tomatoes soften and oil separates.
5. Mix in the whisked yogurt and cook for 3–4 minutes.
6. Add chicken pieces and stir well to coat them with the masala.
7. Cover and cook on medium heat for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
8. Add 1 cup of hot water (more for thinner curry). Cover and simmer until chicken is fully cooked (about 20–25 mins).
9. Sprinkle garam masala and cook for 5 more minutes on low flame.
10. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
🍽 Serve with:
Steamed rice, jeera rice, roti, or naan.
